Or have you been serious for so long that you have almost forgotten what it is like to have fun?
And yes I am talking about that inner child that still desires to have fun.
When was the last time that you walked in the rain and allowed yourself to get totally soaked through, it is a great refreshing feeling. Go on I dare you to try it next time we have a downpour.
When was the last time you sat on a swing in the park?
Or even got the colouring book out and just coloured for a couple of hours?
Your inner child is still a child and still requires nurturing through life, don’t leave him/her in the closet and forget all about the fun they so love to have.
It is great fun, to have a toy box and keep your colouring books in, or a kite, or even a skipping rope. Go on who is stopping you from still enjoying life. Children never go around being miserable when they are having fun. Watch a Disney DVD Hook is a great one for magical inspiration. Sorry the video would not upload so here is the link:

When was the last time you had a picnic, or made a tent and just sat in the garden with your thoughts, or sat in front of an open crackling fire (obviously safety rules do apply to that if you are outside) but it is great. When I was in Australia I learnt from an aboriginal that the natural thing to do when they moved to new ground was to light a fire. It connects you to life, and it is so true.
Just for today, play and have some fun, laughter is a good therapy on its own, but allowing yourself the time to play is so uplifting. Go on give yourself permission today to do something with your inner child.
